Curriculum Vitae:

Born in 1968 in Vienna.

Began to dance at the age of seven in the private ballet school “Birkmeyer”.

At the age of eight he was accepted at the ballet school of the Austrian Federal Theatres and trained in classical ballet, character dance, Spanish dance, modern dance, jazz, acrobatic and fencing.

1987 Contract at the Vienna State Opera Ballet

He continued his dance training at international seminars in Cannes, Monte Carlo, London, Berlin and New York.

At the Vienna State Opera Ballet he danced several solos in Giselle, Nutcracker, Romeo and Juliet, Manon, The Merry Widow, The Legend of Joseph, a Midsummernights Dream, Firebird, Don Quixote, Sinfony in D, Mata Hari, Sleeping Beauty, Swanlake, La Valse, Die Puppenfee, Wolfgang Amadé, Cinderella, Spartacus, La Fille mal gardée, Six Dances, The three cornered Hat as well as in operas like Capriccio, Eugen Onegin and Die Tote Stadt.

June 94

First choreography in the ballet workshop “Young Choreographers” in the Theatre Akzent/Vienna.

Autumn 94

In the dance series “State Opera Ballet in the Rabenhof/Vienna” he had the opportunity to present his first work altogether 6 times.

May 95

In Paris/France he won the International Choreography Competition “Prix Volinine '95” with his piece 1994-Im Jahr der Familie (1994-In the year of the family).
As well as the 1st prize, he also received the prize from the “Zivot Umelce” donation, the prize of the city Biarritz/France and the future prize of the company SPEDIDAM.
His leading dancer, Mrs. Iva Gattin, won an interpretation prize.

Finalist in the 9th competition for choreographers in Hanover/Germany.

Dinu Tamazlacaru danced Amélie in the finals of the International Dance Competition “Prix de Lausanne”.
He was placed second and won a Prix de Lausanne Scholarship.

May 2002

Further performances of Amélie in the International Ballet Competition “Arabesk-2002” in Perm/Russia.
Dinu Tamazlacaru won the 1st Prize.

June 2002

2 choreographies for the 3rd International Ballet Competition in St. Pölten/Austria. Inka for Elizabeth Golibina and Les Jours Tristes for Radu Tamazlacaru. Elizabeth Golibina won the 1st prize, Radu Tamazlacaru the 3rd prize.
